Joe Powers entered the executive search business in June, 1986 and became a partner in Management Research Associates (MRA) in the following year.

During more than 25 years of successful recruiting experience, Joe has recruited General Agents and Agency Managers in both career building and brokerage agency positions. He has recruited second-line managers, brokerage representatives, regional vice presidents, wholesalers and Home Office marketing executives. With a continuous involvement in the life insurance marketplace, Joe has become MRA's expert in competitive intelligence, and has developed a substantial knowledge of field management contracts and compensation systems. More recently, Joe has been involved in a number of international searches including the recruitment of a whole Brokerage distribution system and senior management in Canada. He has also been asked to critique field compensation models in a number of South American locations.

Joe is a graduate of Connecticut College with a B.S. in Biology.
